It's tough being a teen...

Sometimes being a teenager feels like a no-win situation. You're supposed to act like an adult but then you're treated like a child. There are rules for everything, and none of them are fair. No one will allow you to make a decision. Am I right?

Or maybe no one understands you. They all say they do but then they try to give you advise to change things...no one just listens.

Perhaps you just don't have the words to communicate how you are feeling or what it's like being you resulting in you having suicidal thoughts or behaviors, cutting, or burning,  or anger outbursts.

I can't wave a magic wand and change everything but I can be in your corner, on your side, have your back.

Here we go again!
Call me crazy but no one understands what it's like to be you...unless you tell them.

Confidentiality is of utmost importance with teens, which means I can't say anything to anyone about what happens in session (except when your safety is in danger). I am sure I will work with your parents at some point as well, when I do, I don't provide a script of what was said in our session. I give them a summary. I support you when you feel like you want to talk to them about it.
