Kelly Kay Wynn is a licensed psychotherapist and resilience coach with 20 years experience. She lives and works from the empowering belief, “It’s not what happens to you, it’s how you handle it.” Unfortunately, healthy coping skills are not universally taught. Without knowing how to address life’s challenges in a skillful way, many people struggle with anxiety, depression, addictions, stress, relationship issues and/or chronic feelings of never being good enough. Kelly Kay has a passion for helping her clients:
Improve their coping strategies
Create powerful, yet manageable change
Develop strength, purpose and meaning as they work through life’s challenges

Kelly Kay utilizes the Internal Mirror ™ model that illuminates understanding of oneself and others. The Internal Mirror ™ reveals underlying (and often unconscious) motivations that shape behavior. Behaviors resulting from poor coping reinforce self-defeating habits of thinking, feeling, and doing. According to the Torah, You don’t see the world as it is, you see it as you are. And as the Mirror demonstrates most people don’t see themselves very clearly. Greater personal awareness is the first step to profound change.
The Internal Mirror ™ is also incredibly helpful in working couples. Through the use of the Mirror, Kelly Kay helps couples better understand each other, which lead to compassion and deep authentic connection. She often reminds couples: You ultimately can’t “fix” or control your partner, but you can take greater responsibility (ability to respond) for yourself.
As a parent of a special needs child, Kelly Kay knows first hand the extraordinary toll raising a special child takes on the entire family. Our special angels are blessings in many ways; but they undeniably and profoundly impact every aspect of life in ways most of us simply aren’t prepared to manage in healthy ways. The Internal Mirror ™ helps us parents and care givers regain a sense of control over the only thing we really can control – ourselves. This enables us to be the best parents we can be!
